About Us

The Snowy Valleys Resilience Hub project has been established with funding from Resilience NSW as a direct result of the Dunns Road Bushfire (2020).

Initial support was offered to people in the region through the establishment of the Batlow Recovery Centre. It’s patronage clearly showed the need for an ongoing, centralised and coordinated Hub that has now been established in Batlow until June 2023.

The Hub has the function of supporting individuals and the community to prepare for the future through an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach.

The Hub is about the people, social recovery, and wellbeing and is working across and with all local groups and organisations, support agencies and government entities.

Through Asset Based Community Development the Hub has identified the assets within the communities including the skills and knowledge of individuals, associations, organisations and businesses to come together to realise and develop their strengths for improved economic, social and health outcomes.

The vision for the future of the Hub is to reengineer the Snowy Valleys through innovation, energy and connectedness using the assets found within the communities.
